In the last two weeks I have joined and participated in a Skype chat, viewed and signed on to a wiki, checked out some podcasts and have decided there is so much information out there I don't know where to begin!
I have to say the skype chat was fun I would like to do that again and do more than just chat which is what we did for another class.
At work we are also beginning to do some webinars. If anyone has any great advice for a webinar I am open to any suggestions.
I would also like to know what other people use at work when collaborating on a project. We cannot use any of this free information due to security reasons so I am curious how people communicate within team groups? We are trying to get permission to use share point (?) but the bureacratic system doesn't work very fast!

We struggle with the security concerns, too. We have a collaborative working space that allows us to share documents and add information to each others documents -- similar to a wiki but not nearly as easy. Just today, several of us were talking about how nice it would be to have corporate bulletin boards for collaborating. My company is also setting up an internal FaceBook-type of application, but most of us are wondering if that will really help us collaborate as much as it will allow us to feel more familiar with remote associates.
We do quite a few webinars at work. What are you curious about?
And I have another question for you ... was it free to get on Skype? I was looking at it and thought you had to pay for a subscription, so I bypassed it for now.
In terms of the webinars we did not have a good experience the first time as people would not mute their phones, the presenters strictly read from their power point. I am curious how to make it more interactive, how can the particpants respond...through instant messaging component I believe? This particular webinar only wanted questions to their email. How have you done it?
Yes, skype is free and very easy to use. If I can do it anyone can!!
